Its been a while. So let’s catch up and I’ll try to stay current. I just started a new sermon series on The Church, The Bride, The Body and The Building of God. It’s been on my heart for some time to address this important biblical truth for some time. Each week we will examine the Word and speak the truth concerning God’s Church.
WE must according to culture and conditions Be the Church and not just attend Church. We can make a difference and see the lives of All people changed. In fact that’s our desire at SSBC. We love all people and gather as The Body to Worship The King, King Jesus! We would love to see you, get to know you and fellowship with you. I invite you to Worship with us every chance you can and I pray we will see you soon.
Join us Sunday, July 22 as we continue our journey in Ephesians. God is the God of Intervention, how does He divinely intervene? Why does He intervene? You may be thinking, that’s what I need! Come Worship with us and join the journey in the Word of God. The Word of God is quick, powerful, and sharper than a two-edged sword! It will examine us completely but not leave us frustrated or disappointed! See You Sunday.
Summer is now! School is out, VBS is Sunday June 3, check out our web page for details. Summers are busy, vacations, mission trips and outreach. Join us in any or all of the events scheduled, you will not be disappointed. We are New Orleans bound for missions with Back yard Bible club and ministering to the homeless, please pray for the team!
Remember the Word, Prayer, and your faithfulness to Worship, God is good and we are to give Him our best. I look forward to seeing you in person. God Bless!
Greetings, In the name of Jesus! Recently I’ve meditated on the Psalms, and I come to Psalm 32, one of the penitential Psalms. This Psalm deals with Sin, Confession, and Forgiveness. There are a few observations I want to share.
- Don’t be stubborn or rebellious or hard-hearted when it comes to Sin. When we do, we never win! Keep that in mind and heart.
- David gives us the end results of coming clean in the first two verses.
- Sin effects you physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally.
- Sin is directly toward the Holiness of God.
- Never put off confession, not for one second!
- You never progress Spiritually with sin in your life, and you rob yourself of God’s wonderful blessings.
Happy New Year! 2018 will be a great year to make a difference in someone’s life. Put aside any thought of 2017 no matter what it might be, focus on the New. Know that God has a plan and purpose for you and will equip you to accomplish His plan.
There are several truths we must keep in mind as we strive to press on in the Lord’s work.
1.Determine to finish well: you do this by remembering that He who began a good work in you will complete it!
2.Keep your priorities straight: we tend to allow our priorities to get scrambled, so daily examine yours.
3.Stay involved in SSBC Bible studies weekly: Realize your presence and participation is important, you do encourage others!
4.Give God your best daily: yes we get busy, stretched and stressed but giving God our best not what’s left id most important. If I give Him my first and best He will honor that.
I love you and pray you will commit with me to make a difference!!
Christmas is certainly an exciting time of year! Everyone is busy with different events, parties and Church’s are presenting programs. The Birth of Jesus is The event of the year and one that changed history. Think about it, all were waiting for the coming of the promised Messiah, not a word from a prophet for about 400 years and then it happens, a strange, un 0rdinary string of events. A Star, shepherds, wise men, a teenage girl pregnant, but not by any man, a King disturbed and everyone talking of this baby who was to be a King. What is God saying?
- Look at the Birth of Jesus and see my heart, the very heart of God and my love for mankind.
- This love is for every human being, I exclude no one.
- Redemption is my reasoning for the birth of my Son. all are born under the law and cannot pay their own debt so I’m providing.
- I’m letting you know how serious I am about the relationship I desire to have with each of you.
- Will you invite all you know to Worship me.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! MY HOW GOD HAS BLESSED US, THINK HOW BLESSED YOU ARE AND SHARE IT WITH YOUR FAMILY. HOW GOD SAVED YOU, HOW HE HAS PROVIDED, HOW THROUGH TOUGH TIMES WHEN YOU DIDN’T KNOW WHY OR HOW GOD WALKED WITH YOU AND COMFORTED YOU, AND HOW YOU LEARNED OF HIS FAITHFULNESS. BE GENEROUS WITH OTHERS AS GOD HAS BEEN WITH YOU. GIVE TO ONE WHO IS IN NEED AND DON’T EXPECT ANYTHING IN RETURN. WORSHIP GOD FROM YOU HEART NOT YOUR HEAD, AND SIT QUIETLY TALKING AUDIBLY TO GOD THANKING HIM FOR LIFE, PEACE, AND HIS PRESENCE! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
What is your biggest obstacle? What stands in your way? Or what do you think hinders you from progression? Remember there is Power in worship! Worship is declaring the Worth of God, Worship does not lead us to an encounter with God, it is the encounter.
Worship is, a meeting between God and His people! Spend time this week in His presence and gather together Sunday to continue Worshipping God. As we Worship expect God to do great things!
Sunday the 20th will be a great day for SSBC! Ill preach on the Rapture of The Church. we will Baptise and our Choir will lead in awesome Worship, you simply do not want to miss Sunday. The next great event on God’s Calender is the Rapture! Come expecting God to do great things!!
